FERO FAST Thermal Bracket™ Offset Shelf Angle Support Solution for Queen’s Marque Project in Halifax

The Armour Groups Queen’s Marque is a new urban neighbourhood on the historic waterfront, in the heart of downtown Halifax.  Queen’s Marque features upscale residences, office space, curated food, beverage and retail space as well as 75,000 square feet of public space, significant art installations and Halifax’s first five-star hotel - Muir.

“On a complicated project like the Queen’s Marque on the Halifax waterfront, supporting the exterior masonry veneer offers some unique challenges. Using the FERO FAST Thermal Bracket Lintel Shelf Angle, it was possible to dramatically reduce thermal bridging through the wall assembly by minimizing penetrations and minimizing joints and junctions in the air and vapour barrier system. An added benefit was the fast and easy installation of the system by not requiring the shelf angle to be welded due to its modular, mechanically attached nature.” – David Landry, Territory Manager for Arrow Construction Products Limited

Greenpoint Landing is a 22-acre master-planned development site located on the Brooklyn waterfront with a view of the Manhattan skyline, bringing a mix of ten residential towers and low-rise buildings, a new public school, and four acres of parkland. The buildings are located on reclaimed industrial use lands, and the brick veneer utilized in the building design provides continuity with the historical neighborhood.
