FERO’s engineered corbel systems are engineered to distribute the load from the brick corbel back into the structure, allowing for unlimited corbelled masonry wall designs enabling the traditional look, longevity, thermal performance and on-site adjustability of full bed masonry.   

Brick corbelling is the progressive projection of brick courses beyond the wall to create architectural features like ledges, cornices or decorative overhangs. Prescriptively, building codes limit corbelling to a maximum of one-third the thickness of the unit per course, with a total projection not exceeding one-half the wall thickness. FERO’s custom engineered brick corbel supports allow designers to exceed these limits to achieve more dramatic aesthetic expressions such as deep projections or compound curves.
