FAST Thermal Bracket™ Offset Shelf Angle Support
Old Town Park is a 3-phase Development in Chicago's Old Town
Developed by Vancouver-based Onni Group and designed by Chicago architecture firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, Old Town Park is a three-phase development. "The baby of the group, Phase I, got its first permit in February 2016...It has 405 apartments across 32 stories. A modern 32-story tower with stylish residences inspired by the neighborhood. From studios to 3-bedrooms, these sophisticated apartments in Chicago’s Old Town feature thoughtful floorplans, condo-level finishes and expansive city views." (Building Up Chicago, 2021. FERO FAST Thermal Brackets were used at every floor in the building envelope design to ensure continuous insulation and optimized thermal performance. Using FAST Thermal Brackets enabled the design team to:- Incorporate a thermal break instead of a thermal bridge in the smart, energy-efficient shelf angle design;
- Meet or exceed energy code requirements;
- Achieve energy and cost efficiencies; and
- Provide easy installation for the contractors.
