Cincinnati Children’s Critical Care Building Expansion is targeting LEED Silver Certification

This new, six-story healthcare building is dedicated to the treatment of children with developmental disabilities and is one of only a few facilities of this kind in the USA.

The designers have created a building that not only incorporates the existing architecture and Cincinnati Children’s brand, but also gives the building its own distinct personality using textured brick, colored glass fins, and ribbon windows creating patterns and visual interest. The design team has received multiple awards for this building, including the CDA’s Honor Award recognizing interdisciplinary design excellence and the Remodel/Renovation Bronze winner in the Healthcare Design category.

Targeting LEED Silver certification, FERO is proud to contribute to this incredible project by providing high-performance FAST Thermal Brackets for the concrete and concrete slab walls. More project details and updates are available here: https://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/ccb

Overview

Greenpoint Landing is a 22-acre master-planned development site located on the Brooklyn waterfront with a view of the Manhattan skyline, bringing a mix of ten residential towers and low-rise buildings, a new public school, and four acres of parkland. The buildings are located on reclaimed industrial use lands, and the brick veneer utilized in the building design provides continuity with the historical neighborhood.
